She was equalities minister in the last government and in that post she championed the controversial Sewell report, which played down the significance of, or even the existence of, structural racism and institutional racism. Badenoch essentially thinks that these are concepts that have been made up or exaggerated by leftwingers, and she was saying so before it became mainstream thinking in the Conservative party.In
